BELLS BOWS AND BIRDS

When I moved to Miami and start making cakes I always saw Cake Central Magazine as the most amazing cake magazine. Amazing artists together creating unbelievable cakes in full color!!!

Last September I received and email from Cake Central Magazine asking me to create a cake to be featured in the Christmas issue. OH MY GOD!! I cannot tell you how honored and excited I was...be invited to create a Christmas cake design to be published. The theme given to me was "Rosemaling birds" ooops difficult theme for inspirations!! but 1 second later I was hands on.

Cuando me mude a Miami y empecé mi afición por la decoración de tartas, veía la revista de Cake Central como una de las revistas más increíbles que había. Una revista donde se juntaban los más increíbles diseñadores y artistas del mundo haciendo creaciones increíbles a todo color.

El pasado septiembre recibí un email de la propia revista pidiéndome participara en el número de diciembre. DIOS MIO!! increíble!! me piden a mi que mande un diseño...madre mía que emoción, no puedo explicar con palabras la sensación. Una mezcla de nervios y satisfación, y por qué no cierta recompensa. El tema que me dieron como fuente de inspiración se llama "Rosemaling birds". Seguramente os habéis quedado como me quedé yo la primera vez que lo leí...ni idea!! Gracias a google enseguida puse imagen a esa palabra tan rara y como consecuencia empecé a elucubrar.

Decidí hacer una casa de pájaros completamente comestible hecha con fondant.

Me encanta pintar...

Of course in Christmas there must be a Poinsettia

No hay Navidad que se precie sin una Ponsetia.

RUFFLE CORSET CAKE

After summer vacations is hard to start working but there is nothing better than a good project to put your hands on. I was asked to create a wedding cake but they wanted two things in the design: not traditional and colorful cake. Great!!! I love colors and textures  so I wanted to created a cake full of color but also full of movement, something vibrant and at the same time something sexy.

Después de las vacaciones volver al trabajo es difícil pero no hay nada más motivante que un buen proyecto. Me pidieron crear una tarta de boda con dos elementos fundamentales en el diseño: uno que  fuera algo distinto y no típico tradicional y la otra premisa es que tuviera mucho color. Genial!! a mi  me encantan los colores y las texturas, por eso decidí crear un diseño lleno de color pero también quería que tuviera movimiento, algo brivante y al mismo tiempo con un toque sexy.

With the Green range of colors I wanted to reflect that the cake is alive and transmit good feeling and good vibrations.

La gama de los verdes le da un toque de vida que transmite buen rollito y buenas vibraciones.
